Thousands of new items go live every day on Zulily, and it was my job to write succinct, scene-setting. brand-forward copy for roughly 150 of them a day. It was common for vendors to provide only a photo and material content information, so outside research and fact-finding was required in order to meet compliance standards and provide a clear, accurate description of apparel, home goods and everything in between.

Using Wordpress, I created, assigned, published and shared engagement-driving posts and content on the site. I used paid and organic channels to drive traffic to the site, exploring tools like Google and Facebook analytics, SEMrush and Google Console. I created a calendar that boosted time spent on the site by listing writing contests or grant application deadlines. An editor was assigned to the task of fact-checking and updating this resource. My "From the Editor" column focused on sharing links to resources or personal anecdotes that would appeal to the creative writer and boost our site ranking in search engines.
